QPF 2025: Time to start making your Pike/Pine music festival plans

With Seattle’s short-lived false spring drizzled away, let’s think of warmer summer days — and a neighborhood push to grow an annual Pride event into one of those music festivals whose lineup drop you look forward to during the Pacific Northwest’s dreariest days.

The Queer/Bar family of businesses is planning another year of growth for the three-day Queer/Pride Festival with 2025 headliners Tinashe, Lil’ Kim, Rebecca Black, Countess Luann, and Heidi Montag. The festival takes place on 11th Ave on Friday, June 27th through Sunday, June 29th.

“Each June, the Queer/Pride Festival explodes onto Capitol Hill, turning it into a pulsating playground of fierce creativity and unapologetic authenticity as the streets throb with electric vibes and jaw-dropping pop performances that redefine celebration,” Queer/Bar’s Joey Burgess said in the 2025 festival announcement.

Those are big words! The larger Queer/Pride Festival began taking shape in 2022 as Capitol Hill’s Pride events got back on track following years of pandemic cancellations and rescheduling. In 2025, the festival will again be part of beer gardens, stages, and parties throughout Pike/Pine.

Meanwhile, the music fest has grown but doesn’t yet rival the annual Capitol Hill Block Party that takes place around E Pike every July. CHS reported here in 2024 as massive Chappell Roan crowds bent but did not break that three-day music festival. The 2025 CHBP takes place July 21st through July 23rd.

If fences, chemical toilets, and throngs of music fans aren’t your cup of tea, begin planning your weekend camping trips now. The rest of you can learn more about Queer/Pride Festival 2025 and buy tickets at queerpridefestival.com.

Please work to have proper trash and recycling disposal at these events and in the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s really unfortunate that the neighborhood gets trashed by these events and we should hold the organizers responsible for actually cleaning up after themselves and at least leaving the space as clean as they found it, ideally cleaner.
