Police investigate after man shot in reported domestic violence dispute in First Hill parking lot

Police were investigating after an apparent domestic violence-related shooting in a First Hill parking lot late Monday night.

Seattle Police reported the shooting just after 11:20 PM in a parking lot near Broadway and Jefferson where a man was reported down and the shooting suspect remained at the scene.

According to East Precinct radio updates, the suspect was reportedly in an altercation with the current partner of his ex when the shooting occurred.

The victim was rushed to Harborview with undisclosed injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Police were gathering evidence at the scene including details on security cameras in the area.

I live right there and heard what I thought was gunshots echoing down the street. Confirmed here and when I promptly heard plethoras of sirens, glad they got the perp these incidents are disgusting.
