A late night hold-up of a Capitol Hill convenience store involved two suspects reportedly armed with a silver handgun and some sort of stink bomb or pepper spray device.
According to East Precinct radio reports, police were called to the 700 block of Bellevue Ave E around 11:30 PM Saturday night to the reported armed robbery at theΒ Mercato Bellagio quick shop.
The two suspects reportedly deployed some sort of pepper spray device and brandished a pistol in the course of the robbery. They were last seen fleeing northbound on Bellevue and then heading down toward Lakeside.
UPDATE: SPD has provided its preliminary report on the incident. According to police, the suspects sprayed an employee in the face with pepper spray before snatching the entire cash register and making a run for it:

The suspects were described as two white males, in their teens or 20s, both wearing dark clothing and dark hoodies. One was reportedly armed with a silver handgun:
As Seattle Fire was called to the scene to check out any effects from the pepper spray, SPD and a K9 unit searched the nearby area including the greenbelt. There were no arrests.
