A stabbing aboard a Metro bus brought a large emergency response to Pike and Minor Sunday.
Emergency units were called to the area just after 4:30 PM to the reported stabbing. Seattle Fire responded to treat the victim reported still aboard the Metro coach. The victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries according to emergency radio updates.
King County Transit Police and Seattle Police were searching for a suspect reported fleeing the area on foot.
Police reported that a possible suspect was detained near Summit and Seneca about 20 minutes after the assault.
UPDATE: SPD has posted a brief on the incident:
The victim reported that an unknown male suspect approached him on the bus and forcefully stabbed his arm. The suspect then exited the bus and fled northbound on foot. SPD Officers assisted the King County Sheriff’s Department in searching for the suspect but were unsuccessful. Since the victim’s injury was not severe, the King County Sheriff’s Department assumed primary responsibility for the incident. Metro units were unable to access the security camera on the bus, so no photo of the suspect at this time.

Bruce Harrell and Ann Davison’s Seattle right here… are we over this yet?
leftists are not serious people
How will Katie fix it? Really, please enlighten me as to the bright future with better leadership we will have with her, I’m dying to know, since she is anti police, policing and pro criminal( because they are victims too).
Bruce had power for 16+ years, what did he do?
Katie will make this so much worse. I know it, you know it, everyone knows it.
The trouble is that some people want it to be worse for everyone else, so long as criminals (pardon me, “oppressed and underserved communities victimized by the carceral state”) can operate with impunity.
Who is mayor right now while this is happening? Who?
Derek, Katie will fer sure fix it right? As always, you are so effin dumb and clueless.
Uh-oh! Better get the “Transit Rider’s Union” on the case !!
But seriously….I’m completely opposed to 4 more years of incompetence with the present buffoon, but if there’s one freakin’ thing Wilson should be qualified and eager to clean up on “day one” it should be the pitiful state of Metro…safety and cleanliness. I ride busses on Cap Hill all the time at night and it’s both scary and disgusting. I have to wonder—despite all the talk, does she???
