I just heard that the new owners of the Ragley Apartments (corner 16th E and E Republican) are considering tearing down the cute garages behind the building (on 16th to the north of the building) and “put in a parking lot”. I assume that they will rent the spaces on a monthly basis.
This building AND its garages are wonderful and historic parts of the neighborhood. Can they really do this?
When the owners of the lot on Pine tried to make it parking they were thwarted.
I hope they don’t do this. I live right there and the little garages fit nicely into the neighborhood. Tearing them down would just be a waste.
