Real snow on Capitol Hill

Forget this dusting, we got the real deal this morning. In Seattle, the real deal means any snow that sticks for more than 15 minutes. Predictably, the streets are pretty messy and intersections are particularly entertaining. We made the dangerou trip — there were snowy puddles! — all the way down to Fuel which, thank god!, was open despite the winter storm.

p.s. — Did anybody else hear the amazing boom of thunder that must have kicked this all off this morning?

yes, that loud thunder clap was amazing wasn’t it? What wasn’t fun was driving my girlfriend to work and getting caught on an hill slicked with ice leading down to traffic. Yikes!

Yeah, RANDOM giant thunderclap around 5am, wasn’t it? Followed by a hailstorm.
