Here’s our weekly look back at recent police activity on Capitol Hill. Per usual, reports are compiled from Central District News scanner reports, SPD media reports and CHS reporting. Got a tip or a question about something you witnessed? Fire away.
You also might also want to check out these notes from March’s East Precinct community meeting with some stats from Captain McDonagh. I’m checking with East Precinct to find out if there is a better way to share statistics like the ones the captain discusses but no response thus far.

Why would that guy be upset that he found his stuff that HE LEFT when he moved out of the apartment? It’s like throwing something and then bitching about it when you saw someone took it from the dumpster.
I’m an apartment manager and you wouldn’t believe the stuff that some people leave behind when they move out. I mean, what am I supposed to do to a TV, DVD, sofa..etc when they don’t leave a forwarding address and phone number. Sometimes I’m tempted to sell it on CL, but I just end up just posting a ‘free’ sign and have the other tenants take it.
There is someone living on 14th Avenue between Harrison and Republican that uses a handicap tag to effectively get an extra parking spot on the street. The house has 3 cars parked on the street.
