- E Pike assault: It may have been a relatively quiet Halloween on Capitol Hill but there were some shenanigans over the Halloween weekend. Two men — one dressed in a “tennis player” costume — were reportedly assaulted as they walked in the 1000 block of E Pike. According to witnesses, the men were walking when a man suddenly rushed them and began to strike the victims in a seemingly unprovoked attack. Both men sustained injuries that Seattle Fire treated at the scene. One victim suffered a serious head laceration but declined to be taken to the hospital. The suspect left the scene and was not found. The full report on the incident is here.
- Burglar breaks into empty house: A burglar who busted into a 21st Ave E home late last Wednesday night was disappointed to find out the home was only staged, not occupied. According to the report, the would-be thief entered the house through a window only to find nobody lives there — it’s currently listed for sale. The report notes that the burglar didn’t hang around long after finding the house didn’t contain any personal items or electronics.
