On the List | Hilloween goes trick or treating, Lit Crawl: Seattle creeps through 20+ venues around the Hill

The week before Halloween has plenty of pre-chills and fun events in store for those who want to start their celebration of All Hallows Eve early.  The Lit Crawl Festival or the annual Hilloween carnival and trick or treating on Broadway may appeal to some, but if you’re looking for something a little more lively then you check out Twerk or Treat, a Halloween dance party at Neumos this Friday night. If Halloween isn’t your thing, Data & Drinks: Building Resilient Privacy Solutions at the Riveter Thursday may be it.

For those who plan on traveling to Capitol Hill for weekend fun, remember that the Sound Transit light rail will not be running between SODO and Capitol Hill this weekend, October 26-27.

THURSDAY, Oct. 24:  The Lit Crawl Festival – Spooky in Seattle – kicks off early Thursday evening and offers a host of literary options throughout Capitol Hill until 10 PM. where the tale comes to an end at the Lit Crawl after party at Hugo House.  Find yourself listening to authors at venues scattered throughout Capitol Hill, from Intrigue Chocolate and Coffee to the well-known Hotel Sorrento reading on topics from women in the work force to readings inspired by the work of Gil Scot Heron.  There will be some 48 readings and associated events – so, something for everyone who love the written word and those that craft it.
