A neighborhood of bloggers

While we might be the only blog in the neighborhood writing about weighty topics like rocks on the sidewalk, we’re certainly not the only blog in the neighborhood. Lots of our neighbors write about something in their life. We’ve found a few on our own — neighbor Wesa, for example, writes Big City Hippie — but we’d like to know about more.

Do you blog? Tell us about it in the comments. We’ll add a link to this post to our CHS navigation for future reference.

Not specifically about my neighborhood (Squire Park), but I do occasionally blog about things and places that I do/go/see in the area.

For example, I posted something mentioning Moe Bar yesterday, and got an email from the owner of Neumo’s, Steve Severin, who apparently has some sort of newsbot scouring the intertubes for any references to his establishments. He sent me a little “thank you” note for giving his place a positive mention.

  2. I blog at http://abbeyofthearts.com/blog/ mostly about spirituality and the arts. I live happily in Capitol Hill and enjoy your blog a lot — mostly the events I wouldn’t have known about otherwise (like the Japanese Garden moon viewing or the tour of 14th ave mansions).

  3. While I’ve always lived near Capitol Hill (Madison Valley), I’m now a fellow 15th resident and loving it! I’m especially excited to be closer to the new smaller fringe theatres to be popping up and looking forward to auditioning/performing too.

  4. Hey all! I’m part of a group on the internet called “nerdfighters” – http://www.brotherhood2.com. We are in a nationwide scavenger hunt and are looking for a clue in seattle. I was wondering if anyone knew what the following might mean:
    “Harrison sleeps
    on capitol hill
    under left shoulder
    you’ll find a bill”

We are quite sure bill refers to a dollar bill because that was another clue, but we’re stumped on the rest. All we’re sure of is its in seattle. please email me if you have any suggestions! Thanks!

  5. Tallysextra: on the Northeast corner of Broadway and Harrison is a bench with a bronze statue of a sleeping man. That is where you will find the clue. It’s outside the liquor shop located across the street from the Broadway Market.
