Live music venue planned for old Tidbit space on 10th Ave E

As CHS reported last month, Tidbit Bistro will move away from its current location at 2359 10th Ave E and expects to open at the old La Spiga/Vi Bacchus location at 1401 Broadway sometime in July 2010.  A new business, The Alcove has applied for a liquor license at Tidbit’s old space. The Alcove is operated by CRK Enterprises LLC.  The name apparently takes the first initial of each of the owners’ first names: operated by Carrie Watt, Robert Westo and Kristen Watt

Carrie and Kristen are sisters and have operated Seattle Living Room Shows since 2008.  The stated goal of Seattle Living Room Shows is “to continue to support musicians by providing an intimate atmosphere for their music to truly be heard.”

We haven’t had the opportunity to talk with the people behind The Alcove about their plans but have been told they intend to host live music performances as well as serve food and drink at 2359 10th Avenue. We’ve also heard the deal for the lease is still being worked out. We hope to have more from The Alcove soon.

the original word is actually “titbit” and “tidbit” is an Americanization?

I just learned this and thought I should pass it on.

Should be an intimate venue.

Will check it out …. as long as the tap is ice cold.

Saw Tidbit listed (again) on Craigslist, something made the deal fall through.
