Help while having fun: 5 Capitol Hill events for Japan relief

Capitol Hill businesses continue to respond to the need for help following the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan. Here are four upcoming events on Capitol Hill where you can enjoy the local offerings and have a good time while helping those in need. Want to help doubly? We’re continuing to dedicate space on the site to remind people to text “REDCROSS” to number 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross or give here to help Japan.

  • Wednesday, March 30: Sing for Japan at Rock Box
Capitol Hill’s karaoke bar is generously donating every penny earned Wednesday to the Red Cross. Walk-ins are cool, Rock Box says, but they’re also encouraging people to make reservations to help keep the place full and giving at 100%. Details here.

100% of proceeds from all sales go to Red Cross. 4pm-2am. No cover open mic karaoke in the bar. Private rooms still available. Sing and make a donation. Call for reservation: 206-302-7625
