Suspect in surgical mask holds up Broadway Chase bank

A man walked up to an employee, handed over a note demanding money, and implied he was carrying a weapon in a Broadway bank robbery reported late Thursday afternoon.

Police cleared the area at gunpoint including the Domino’s neighboring the Chase bank in the 1400 block of Broadway at Pike and began a search for the suspect in the just before 4:30 PM hold-up.

According to East Precinct radio reports, the suspect was described as a black male in his mid to late 20s,  wearing a surgical mask with his hood pulled up to cover much of his face. The suspect reportedly told a bank employee he was carrying a gun.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot. There were not an immediate arrest.

Hey where are all the people who wanted to shut down the pot shop that got robbed!? Don’t you want to shut down this bank too? Seems pretty dangerous!
