On the List | Children’s Film Festival wraps up as Seattle’s ‘mid winter break’ begins

Closing night’s Best Birthday Party Ever!

The start of the “mid winter break” week for Seattle Public Schools kids brings a weekend of screenings as  The Children’s Film Festival Seattle wraps up online and in-person at Capitol Hill’s Northwest Film Forum.

The in-person screenings hosted at 12th Ave’s Northwest Film Forum are complemented by virtual screenings that are pay-what-you-can on a $5 to $25 sliding-scale.

The weekend’s final days of the 2022 festival bring highlights including The Inventor, a new stop-motion adventure film about the life of Leonardo da Vinci from Jim Capobianco, the Academy Award nominated writer of Pixar’s Ratatouille.

Sunday’s closing night, meanwhile, features a Best Birthday Party Ever! celebration:

Make your own party hat in the lobby and join our Youth Jury members in celebrating their picks for festival awards. At 6pm, enjoy the West Coast premiere of the all-ages animated feature Best Birthday Ever!
