Seattle Police were investigating and collecting evidence after a drive-by shooting incident locked down the area around the AMPM service station at 23rd and Cherry Wednesday night.

There were no reported injuries.

Multiple 911 callers reported gunfire just after 9 PM in the area of the gas station near the Garfield Community Center and high school. A witness described a scene involving a shooter firing into the gas station lot from a black sedan that sped from the scene.

At least two people, also reportedly armed, were seen fleeing on foot from the scene, according to East Precinct radio updates.

Police closed down the area and began collecting evidence including multiple shell casings in the roadway. A search for the suspect vehicle was not immediately successful but a nearby resident offered security video from the incident.

There were no reported injuries and no arrests.
