I told my Garfield student son not to go play ball with his friends at the field tonight – because of two shootings in a week. Thank goodness he heeded my advice & the kids changed plans. He saw all the emergency lights on his way home. I feel sick for people hurt and killed in this violence, and that the community is being terrorized by people with guns at the ready for every conflict.

Agree, I have a freshman at Garfield. This is sad. I hope they find, arrest, prosecute and jail the perps, but won’t hold my breath.
