Police say they have identified — but not arrested or booked into jail — three suspects in the February water pellet assault and homophobic hate crime incident outside a Capitol Hill gay bar.

The Seattle Police Department says the identified suspects are a 17-year-old male, a 19-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman and have not been taken into custody.

SPD has not released additional information about the suspects and referred questions about the case to the King County Prosecuting Attorney.

A spokesperson says police have referred the hate crime investigation to the prosecutor’s office. “The case and the admissible evidence is being reviewed now by our hate crimes prosecutor for a charging decision,” the spokesperson said.

CHS reported here on the late night February incident outside Pony as the suspects reported as β€œtwo or three young white men” were circling near 12th and Madison yelling β€œdie faggots,” and firing pellets at people from a β€œwater bead” gun.

SPD detectives sought the public’s help in identifying the suspects despite video that clearly showed some of the occupants of the vehicle and distinctive white “WRLD” lettering on the rear window of the car. A Lexus matching the appearance of the suspect vehicle was also easily tracked down on social media.

According to East Precinct radio updates from the night of the incident, the car is registered to a Tacoma address

Prosecutors say none of the suspects have a previous case history in the county.

Not surprised SPD is handling these vile, hate filled people with kids gloves. I’m sure their investigation was professional and thorough. Let’s not forget, SPD allowed these criminals to violently circle the bar for hours while they sat on their hands at the East Precinct-3 blocks away !

Sara Nelson recognizing the recruitment potential they have to SPD and ordering her staff to put together hiring packages post haste.

I seem to recall SPD responded in a timely manner once bar patrons called in the incident. You cannot expect them to respond unless someone reports the issue. And now the prosecutor gets to decide whether the facts and evidence gathered thus far merit prosecution. That is not a decision for the police.

So Glenn is recalling things he so badly wants to believe now. Definition of delusional.

Just read the previous CHS story on the incident, which confirms police were not called until more than one hour after the incident began. Not delusional, I just remember what I read.

Your first comment states you recall police responded in a timely manner, but there was no mention of police responding that night at all. Your latest comment states something entirely unrelated because you are in fact delusional or lying about the police response you claimed to recall.

That is a lie. According to previous reporting on this site, the incident started at 11:30pm and the police were not called until 12:45am.

I had a hommie who was there! They did not notice anything. Said it was karaoke as usual. But I guess some others experienced something else. But yea no police were called at the time of the incident.
