911 callers reported two people carrying guns and shots fired as a car reportedly sped away near Belmont and E Olive St Thursday night.
There were no reported injuries.
According to East Precinct radio reports, multiple people and at least one vehicle were involved in the incident involving shots fired just after 9 PM and at least two armed males — one carrying a pistol and another reportedly armed with what appeared to be a shotgun.
Police reported finding multiple 9mm shell casings near Belmont and Olive.
According to police radio, witnesses reported that the armed males appeared to be shooting in the air or toward a vehicle seen speeding from the area.
Arriving officers were interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence from the shooting scene. A search of the area for males matching the description of the reported gunmen or the vehicle reported leaving the scene was not successful. There were no immediate arrests.
